Montana Rocky Mountain Sheep
What is grass doing in Rock Mountain Sheep pictures you ask yourself? Well, it's because they were photographed up Rock Creek, East of Missoula, Montana. Besides hosting quite a few wild animals, it also hosts people who grow grass on their property. And, this grass keeps the sheep well fed and in the valley...except for the Rams who only come down for the Rutt. Comes the first snow of the Fall and they all head up to the mountains for the winter.
Many thanks to the land owners on Rock Creek who gave me access to their properties and made these pictures possible.
